Lunar Embrace

In night's embrace, a hand does hold,
The Moon, a treasure, silver and cold,
Its pocked craters gleam like ancient scars,
Against the dark, a beacon of stars.
Wrinkled fingers, steady, wise,
Reach for dreams beneath starry skies.
Veins like rivers trace the palm,
Telling tales of life’s calm balm.
A halo soft, the Moon does glow,
Whispers secrets only shadows know
Where ghostly maria stretch like silken veils.
In silence deep, the cosmos sings,
Of lunar tides and earthly wings.
A bond eternal, hand and sphere,
United in the void, both far and near
Through endless night, their union stays,
A dance of light through cosmic rays,
With meteor streaks and nebula’s hue,
Painting dreams in midnight’s blue.
