The Unsung Valor's Plea
In lands where freedom's flag does wave,
There lies a tale of two worlds, brave,
Where soldiers stand with hearts so true,
And celebrities, with fame, accrue.
Why should the silver screen's delight,
Earn more than those who fight the fight?
For soldier's brave, in uniform,
Protect us from the coming storm.
Their duty calls at dawn's first light,
Not for fame, but for our right,
To live in peace, to laugh, to dream,
Their value far exceeds the screen.
The market's whim, it might dictate,
The worth of those who entertain, innate,
Yet, soldiers' pay, a meager sum,
For risks they take, for what they've done.
Their service forms the bedrock, firm,
For every industry to affirm,
That peace and safety are the ground,
Where every dream might be unbound.
They face the dark, the cold, the strife,
For our comfort, our daily life,
Their compensation should reflect,
The depth of service, we expect.
Let's ponder on what we hold dear,
The value of those we cheer,
Against those who silently protect,
Each day, with honor, and respect.
So let this poem be a call,
To balance what we value, all,
For soldiers, in their steadfast way,
Deserve a fair and juster pay.
