The Solitude of Shadows

Image
In the quiet corners of my room, Where echoes of old laughter loom, I sit alone with thoughts that roam, In the vast expanse of my life, this home. The walls, they whisper tales of old, Of times when company was bold, But now, in silence, they just fold, To stories only I can hold. The chair across, forever bare, Awaits a guest who isn't there, In this space, so vast, so rare, Where loneliness is my sole heir. I dance with shadows, dine with ghosts, In this life, I am the host, Embracing solitude, almost, Yet, in my heart, it hurts the most. For in this lonely life, you see, The only company is me, And though I've learned to let it be, Sometimes I wish for company.

A Day to Live Once More

Image
In the quiet hush of life’s last breath, A choice to make before eternal rest, What moment would you draw back from the past? To relive once more, to hold fast. Would it be laughter, love, or tears, A day of triumph or one of fears? A day where every note of joy was sung, Or one where sorrow for your heart was wrung? Perhaps a day of firsts, a tender kiss, The warmth of sunshine, a love to not miss, Or maybe the day you felt most alive, When the world seemed new, and you could thrive. Would you choose a day of simple grace, A walk in the park, a childlike embrace? Or the moment when everything changed, A decision made, a life rearranged? Oh, to have that power in your hand, To live again in that chosen strand, Of time where memories sweetly dwell, That day you'd relive, that story to tell. So, ponder deep in your heart's core, Which day would you choose to explore? In the tapestry of your life’s long thread, Which single day would you live instead?

Behind the Veil

You say you're fine, with a smile so bright, But in the shadows, does your heart take flight? A nod, a laugh, to mask the pain, But are you truly okay, or are you just in vain? The world sees what you show, not what you hide, The tears you shed in the quiet of night. You claim to be okay, with a voice so steady, But deep inside, are you ready to confide? Words unspoken, feelings suppressed, A soul that's weary, perhaps stressed. You're not alone in this masquerade, We've all played this part, in our own charade. So let down your guard, if just for a day, Share your truth, come what may. For beneath the claim of being okay, Lies the real you, waiting to sway. Remember, it's okay not to be okay, To seek help, to find your way. For in the sharing of our deepest woes, Is where true healing, truly grows.

Unseen

Image
In the crowd, I'm just a face, No one's ever rushed to embrace, No one's ever been glad to see, My presence, for them, means nothing to be. My visage, unremarkable, plain, Doesn't draw a second glance, doesn't entertain, No skills to claim, no accolades to show, Just existence, mundane, slow. A nobody, in life's vast sea, No one to remember, no legacy, No one has ever cherished me dearly, No love, no passion, just me, merely. In the world, I pass like a ghost, Unseen, unnoticed, at most, No one has ever felt the need, To rush to me, or take heed. For in the end, I am alone, No one to call me their own, No one to run to me with glee, No one, not even one, to love me.

Shadows of Redemption: The Sorcerer's Journey

Image
In the land of Eldoria, under the perpetual shadow of the Great Eclipse, the Shadow Sorcerer ruled with an iron will from the Dark Citadel. His heart, as dark as the void, was a fortress of ambition and power, never once touched by doubt or regret. But as he ventured to thwart the prophecy of a hero's rise, something unforeseen stirred within him. Each encounter with the creatures of the enchanted forests, each whisper of the wind through the treacherous mountains, began to chip away at his icy resolve. The magic he wielded, born from the darkness, started to reflect the light of the stars in ways he hadn't anticipated. Upon his return to the Dark Citadel, he stood before the ancient mirror of truth, a relic that showed not just reflections but the deepest parts of one's soul. There, he saw not just the Shadow Sorcerer, but a man who once had dreams beyond domination. The image of a child, curious and kind, flickered alongside his current visage, a stark contrast that tor...

Inception of Introspection

Image
In this vast expanse where words do flow, You've chanced upon this humble poet's show. A moment now, just pause and think, You're here, engaged in this poetic link. Feel the paper, or the screen's soft glow, Wherever this poem's essence does bestow. You, dear reader, are not just an observer, But an active part, like a river's swerver. Think, just think, how you arrived here, Through life's labyrinth, through hope and fear. This poem, a pause in your daily dance, A chance to step back, to glance and chance. Inhale deeply, let the air caress your being, Exhale your thoughts, see what you're seeing. You're here, you exist, in this very spot, Where time slows down, and life seems not. Consider now, the choices you've made, The paths you've taken, the games you've played. What brought you here? This question, not so small, Might just be the biggest question of them all. Your essence, captured in this fleeting moment, An island in the stream o...
